The 4th Force Support Squadron here hosted the Men's Eagles Grand Slam Jamboree Softball Tournament July 10 and 11. Seven teams participated in the event, some traveling from as far as Norfolk, Va., to compete.

Though rain storms occasionally stopped the tournament, players persevered in order to play. The jamboree included a round robin tournament and home run derby.

The tournament winners were the Misfits from Seymour Johnson who went undefeated. The most valuable player of the tournament was Mike Garrison, Misfits second baseman who calls Denton home.
