SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- A parking lot full of loved ones, friends and co-workers greeted 13 returning Operation Iraqi Freedom warriors June 30. The returning 4th Security Forces Squadron Airmen spent six months at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, supporting contingency operations. During their time in theater, in addition to protecting the base population, they secured 191 combat sorties, facilitated transport of more than 1,000 insurgents and provided security during distinguished visitor missions.
