To some people the thought of completing a marathon is overwhelming, but for the 567th RED HORSE Squadron commander it did not seem like enough, he began a 81.4-mile run May 20, 2010, to celebrate his wife's memory.

Col. Tim Lamb ran from Duke Hospital in Durham where Beth, his wife, received cancer treatment to Wayne Community College in Goldsboro as part a Relay for Life fundraising event. With the support of family and friends he completed the run in 20 hours and 19 minutes.
