The 4th Component Maintenance Squadron accessory flight gets the job done with efforts from the hydraulics back shop, electro-environmental systems, fuel systems and egress systems flights.

The hydraulics back shop inspects, tests and fixes hydraulic components. These Airmen have approximately 20 components they work on daily.

The electro-environmental systems shop works with components such as integrated drive generators. This generator provides power to a series of components on the F-15E Strike Eagle. These Airmen also work on an unnoticeable, but important component: the aerial refueling flood light. Without this, aerial night refueling would be nearly impossible.

The fuel systems shop works on the F-15E fuel tanks. Aircraft fuel systems Airmen perform annual inspections on the tanks ensuring they are serviceable and ready for use.

The number one priority of egress systems Airmen is the serviceability of egress units. The units are the seats inside the cockpit, which, in an emergency situation, safely eject the aircrew out of the aircraft and ensure a safe landing. Every 36 months, these Airmen are required to strip down, inspect, refurbish and rebuild each egress unit.
