The Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Explosive Challenge provides training and orientation to bioenvironmental, laboratory, and civil engineer emergency management personnel. The challenge teaches them to use all available homestation response, specializing in CBRNE detection, identification and quantification equipment assets. Bio-environmental technicians are responsible for industrial hygiene, which involves protecting the base water system and facilities from hazardous materials. Bioenvironmental, laboratory, and civil engineer emergency management personnel hold monthly exercises to ensure their operation runs smoothly as possible. Before each exercise kicks-off, the team must evaluate a safe plan beforehand to enter a building.
