Several members of the Goldsboro community donated $1 each at the Lionel Street Piggly Wiggly to show their support for Airmen serving at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C.

Piggly Wiggly employees Connie Ellis, scanning coordinator, and Billy Anderson, store manager, presented a $610 check to Tech. Sgt. Andrea Schaub, Airmen & Family Readiness Center noncommissioned officer in charge. Schaub accepted the check on behalf of the A&FRC staff on March 23.

"The funds will be used for upcoming events and other events that bring the SJAFB community together," Schaub said.

For every dollar a customer donated, a donation card was displayed in the Piggly Wiggly store window.

"The donations were a small way to say 'thank you' from the community to the Airmen," Ellis Said.
