The youth basketball program concluded with an end-of-season basketball party for all age groups at the youth center, on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., March 13, 2010.

Youth center basketball teams are broken up into four age groups based on ages, 5 to 6, 7 to 8, 9 to 10 and 11 to 12. Each age group, except the 11 to 12 year olds, had two competing teams during the season and faced each other a final time for the celebration. During the 11 to 12 year-old game, parents joined the competition.

The base youth basketball teams competed against teams from the Boys and Girls Club, YMCA, Wayne Country Day School, Woodman of the World, Eureka, Northeast and Northwest. The teams do not keep an official score, but instead focus on learning game fundamentals and having fun.
