The 4th Fighter Wing Safety Office has the important job of making sure those on base stay safe. Whether it is checking passing drivers for seatbelts or performing fire hazard inspections inside work centers, wing safety is dedicated to keeping Team Seymour safe.

The Safety Office staff is responsible for inspecting work areas for safety and OSHA compliance. During annual and spot inspections, they check facilities for electrical/fire safety and for compliance with various safety programs such as lockout-tagout and confined spaces.

They also educate the base populace on safe operating practices for motor vehicles. Safety personnel conduct random seatbelt inspections while cars drive past. The motorcycle safety course is also run by the base safety office. Not only do they highly encourage new riders to take the course, it is mandatory for all base motorcyclists.
