Heather Stanton 4th Fighter Wing Public Affairs SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- The 4th Fighter Wing highlighted the best of the best during a banquet here Feb. 6. The 2009 Annual Awards banquet recognized 38 nominees for their exceptional performance throughout the year, but only 12 took home the title of Outstanding Airman of the Year in their respective categories. Congratulations to the following 4th FW Outstanding Airmen of the Year: Volunteer of the Year Capt. Jonathon Hutto, 335th Fighter Squadron Honor Guard Member of the Year Staff Sgt. Hun Kim, 4th Logistics Readiness Squadron Junior Non-Appropriated Funds Civilian of the Year Brian Hinson, 4th Force Support Squadron Senior Non-Appropriated Funds Civilian of the Year Charles Wilson, 4th FSS Junior Appropriated Funds Civilian of the Year Dixie Price, 4th Civil Engineer Squadron Senior Appropriated Funds Civilian of the Year Dustin Pawlak, 4th FW protocol Airman of the Year Staff Sgt. Adrienne Antonios, 4th Medical Operations Squadron Noncommissioned Officer of the Year Tech. Sgt. Wayne Powell, 4th FSS Senior NCO of the Year Master Sgt. Tonya Darner, 4th FSS First Sergeant of the Year Master Sgt. Shaffinie Wallace Company Grade Officer of the Year Capt. Kathryn Calabrese, 4th Aircraft Maintenance Unit Field Grade Officer of the Year Lt. Col. Christopher Anthony, 335th FS commander Each nominee was a winner before arriving at the banquet, as each earned the annual award for their respective squadrons and groups. During the banquet, Col. Mark Kelly, 4th FW commander, spoke of the excellence embedded within each 4th FW Airman. "This is just one snapshot in time showing how great we do every day," he said. The 12 award winners will represent Seymour Johnson at the 9th Air Force Outstanding Airmen of the Year banquet here March 5.
