The new Digital Airport Surveillance Radar on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C. is scheduled for completion in November 2010 replacing the base's airport surveillance radar. The radar, which is part of the national air space, will provide a 3-D look into the air space as opposed to the flat 2-D view currently used. The new tower will also improve aircraft detection capabilities during flight.
