Meet the Warrior of the Week -- Staff Sgt. Jackie Rose, non-commissioned officer in charge of storeroom, is assigned to the 376th Expedtionary Force Support Squadron.

Sergeant Rose is deployed here from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., and hails from Clearfield, Pa.

Here is what Sergeant Rose has to say about herself and deployment to the Transit Center at Manas.

What do you enjoy about being at Manas? I love to travel. I'm excited to be here and see a different culture.

Why did you choose to serve in the military? I grew up in a small town with little opportunity. I wanted to be part of something bigger; the Air Force has a lot offer.

How do you feel about your contributions to the Manas mission and the Global War on Terrorism? I order and receive all the rations for the Ops Town DFAC ensuring we have all the food required to serve four hot meals a day and make sure flight meals are prepared for air crews.

Goals you want to achieve or meet while at Manas: Spend as much off time volunteering and enjoying the local culture and work toward obtaining my Community College of the Air Force degree.
