Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Fitness Center and Health and Wellness Center hosted the base's annual Turkey Trot, Nov. 20, 2009. The trot was held to celebrate Great American Smokeout as well as the National Day of Thanks. During the trot military members and dependents chose to run the 5K or 10K course. The first and second place male and female runners for both races earned a turkey, trophy, t-shirt and healthy snack bag. The turkey trot promoted physical fitness, as well as increased personal health and wellness.
