SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- "Taking it to the Streets" took place Nov. 7 at Berkeley Village in family housing on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. The event offered information from different agencies on base, free food, entertainment and door prizes. The Youth Center also hosted an essay contest for children on the topic of "What it means to be a member of a military family." More than 500 people showed up for the base's Year of the Air Force Family kick-off event that was open to active duty, retirees and their families.
