SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE -- Retirees from all branches of the military attended the Retiree Appreciation Day, Sept. 19. The event was held for retirees to receive information on benefits, legal and will counseling, and health and fitness. Airmen stationed here were on hand to help and inform retirees of the services provided to them.

Many local retiree clubs were also in attendance and offered support for retirees and their families.

Highlights of the event included a speech by World War II Veteran Ann Capucille who worked as a semi-truck driver in the Army Women's Corps. and a briefing on the capabilities of the F-15E Strike Eagle.
