Wing leader receives FluMist vaccination

Colonel Kelly helped the medical group kick off the campaign against influenza by being the first person to receive the mist. All squadrons will begin receiving the FluMist Sept. 3 until 100 percent of Airmen receive the vaccine. The flu season starts in October and stretches until May. The vaccine is mandatory for all active duty, Department of Defense contractors and appropriated funds employees. Civilians will begin receiving the vaccine mid-October.
