Airmen of the 4th Fighter Wing demonstrated their capabilities to Air Combat Command inspectors during a unit compliance inspection here Nov. 2 -7.

The inspection's purpose was to ensure the wing's compliance with public law, executive orders and all higher-headquarters' directives.

Though an overall grade is not assigned during a UCI, the quality of the wing's performance becomes clear when reviewing the statistics from the inspectors' report.

Units who perform well in a UCI can expect inspectors to identify approximately four percent of the unit's core compliance objectives that do not comply with acceptable standards. Units that do not comply with two percent of their objectives are considered rare and exceptional. Inspectors found only one percent of 4th FW objectives did not comply.

The inspection report listed 149 individual superior performers and 22 superior teams. Additionally, the 4th Force Support Squadron earned a "best practice" designation for its Food Service Attendant Services program. Moreover, inspectors did not identify any core problems or significant deficiencies in any of the wing's core objectives.

Col. Mark Kelly, 4th FW commander, congratulated his Airmen on the inspection performance during commanders-call meetings Nov. 10, but cautioned them to remain disciplined to avoid a post-inspection lapse.

"Outstanding is the standard of performance here," Colonel Kelly said.
