The world famous Air Force Tops in Blue preformed in the 916th Air Refueling Wing hanger here Oct. 14.

This tour celebrates 55 years of performing for servicemembers overseas and in the states.

Déjà Blue was the theme for this year's tour, and from the beginning it was obvious the crowd was in for a treat. Base commander Colonel Mark. D. Kelly was serenaded with "Happy Birthday" by the Tops in Blue version of Marilyn Monroe.

The performers sang and danced to classic movie songs like "Eye of the Tiger," from Rocky, and "You Can't Stop the Beat," from the remake of Hairspray.

"Oh, it was just wonderful," said Alyson James, whose husband is an Air Force retiree. "I really loved that they had the movies playing on the screens. The Beauty and the Beast song was so romantic."

The crowd was nearly brought to tears as Senior Airman Cristy Lagazo gave her rendition of "My Heart Will Go On" from the hit movie Titanic.

And the beat didn't stop there.

The event was so popular, even extraterrestrials couldn't resist. During the Men in Black performance an "alien" stole the show with smooth dance moves that made the crowd both young in age and heart get up and dance.

"I enjoyed the whole show, especially the Lion King and Men in Black songs," said Airman 1st Class Robinson Divert, a dental assistant with the 4th Medical Group here.

Performers kept the crowd engaged. After one lucky man in the crowd had his fortune read by a peculiar "psychic," the evening heated up with tunes like "She Bangs" and "Respect." A memorable Sonny and Cher duet included one unsuspecting individual from the crowd who showed that Team Seymour has talent.

The audience rolled on the river as Airman 1st Class Alice Lewis belted out the Ike and Tina Turner classic "Proud Mary", but the tempo slowed down with a Motown tune.
The evening came to an end as performers came out in their mess dress uniforms and the audience was brought to its feet as Airman 1st Class Tommie Crutcher ended the show with "God Bless the USA."
