Children take flight
SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. - Stephen Torrent, pilot, shows 12-year-old Nixon Waters how to climb into his Steen Skybolt during the Experimental Aircraft Association Young Eagles Day at the Goldsboro/Wayne County Municipal Airport May 24. More than 80 base youth participated in the day's activity. The EAA Young Eagles program was launched in 1992 to give interested young people an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the EAA member volunteers. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Les Waters)
