An organization that is comprised of the top tier of the enlisted force, the Top 3, combines knowledge, experience and leadership to promote the welfare and recognition of enlisted members.

Their purpose is to establish and maintain a spirit of camaraderie and esprit de corps in order to enhance the prestige and responsibility of all enlisted members while encouraging an attitude of unified purpose.

The group supports the enlisted corps by advising senior leadership on matters pertaining to welfare and morale, promoting and supporting non-commissioned officers' professional military education programs and providing support to authorized NCO professional, military or social organizations.

The Top 3 also promotes professional relationships among its members, senior officials and local community leaders.

The organization stays in tune to needs of the base and community through monthly meetings, said Master Sgt. Allen Daniels, Top 3 president. Guest speakers of meetings include the 4th Fighter Wing command chief, the Chief's Group and First Sergeants Association.

Members express issues of concern to guest speakers allowing them to listen and provide feedback.

Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the enlisted club with services provided by Simply Seymour's. Membership dues are $10 per year.

Throughout the year the Top 3 hosts events such as the Senior NCO Induction Ceremony and Breakfast with Santa.

The Top 3 is also actively involved in the community supporting local boy scout and cub scout organizations.

"The Top 3 organization is one of the most effective ways to contribute to morale and welfare of your enlisted corps," Sergeant Daniels said. "The collective knowledge of a network of Senior NCO's in a Top 3 organization is a very extensive resource to take care of the needs of the base and local community."
