SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. --
In just a few weeks Seymour Johnson will have its own volunteer web page for anyone wishing to take part in volunteering in the community or on base.
The Web site is set up so anyone on base can access it from his or her computer. If members of Team Seymour are looking to volunteer but do not know where to start, all they will have to do is go to the site that will be linked from Seymour Johnson's Web site.
Volunteers may select the type of work they want to do. They will get a list of agencies that provide a particular service including their telephone number and e-mail address.
The Web site will announce volunteer opportunities as soon as they become available.
Volunteers will be able to check the Web site weekly or daily if needed to find new or
ongoing volunteer opportunities. They will also be able to input their hours after they complete a volunteer job. This will allow the hours to be tracked by the volunteer program.
Keep an eye out for the link to the new volunteer Web site coming soon.
