"We just opened our new section, so we've been moving things around and getting things set up in here. We could have this inspection at any time and we'd still step up and rise to the challenge."In 2005, the POL flight was runner-up to Nellis Air Force Base for best POL flight in Air Combat Command."We did really well last year," said Chief Master Sgt. Mark Hammond, 4th LRS fuels manager. "The only thing that really held us back was all the construction projects we had underway. This year, all those projects are complete. We've made several new additions that will push us over the top."Accomplishments of the POL flight over the past year included achieving a 96.4 percent compliance rate during the Logistics Standardization and Evaluation Team visit, supporting AEF cycles in 10 of the past 12 months and streamlining fuel processes which led to improving troop morale."Everyone's excited," Chief Hammond said. "We don't view this as an inspection. We view it as a celebration of the outstanding work our troops do here everyday."
