The Salvation Army delivered Holiday greeting cards to the 4th Fighter Wing Dec. 1, 2022. The cards were made by children from the local communities and will be shared with service members who are deployed as a way to show appreciation for their service and being separated from loved ones.

The cards were made during the North Carolina Freedom Festival this past May in downtown Goldsboro. The festival is hosted by the Salvation Army to celebrate military personnel and first responders with a family friendly festival honoring all who serve in the United States Armed Forces and protect us at home. The event is a collaborative effort which embodies the theme of “One Community.”

“Today, we delivered greeting cards which were produced by children who attended the event this past May,” said Doug McGrath, general manager 4th LRS honorary commander and Bekins Moving Solutions.

This year the custom cards by kids became a reality because of some partners to include the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, Salvation Army Majors and the Goldsboro Rotary Club.

A big thank you to the Salvation Army for all they have done and will continue to do for Airmen and their families of the 4th Fighter Wing.
