New heritage F-15E paint scheme revealed at the Wings over Wayne Air Show
An airman assigned to the 4th Equipment Maintenance Squadron fabrications flight touches up paint on an F-15E Strike Eagle during a heritage repaint effort at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, April 11, 2023. Once an aircraft is towed into the corrosion shop, the aircraft must be masked, sanded, washed, primed, painted and have stenciling applied to the aircraft for it to be completed; this promotes the longevity of the jet.
