We will conduct an active shooter EXERCISE tomorrow, Sept. 4, 2024, during the morning hours. The Oak Forest Gate will be closed during the duration of the exercise. Expect delays at the gates, use of the giant voice system and emergency responders responding for the exercise.
The Child Development Center, base housing, and the school gate will be considered "no play" areas. The customer service facilities will remain open and simulate lockdown procedures.
All on-base personnel will be required to follow giant voice system announcements and emergency responder instructions, including any directed lockdowns.
Active shooter exercises are routine training exercises designed to enhance readiness and safeguard base personnel and their families.
