SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- Personnel from Headquarters Air Force, and the Air Force Personnel Center, shared information about the Enlisted Evaluation System and Weighted Airman Promotion System changes with Airmen from across the base, July 21.

Three briefings were held to discuss changes previously made, those coming down the pipeline, and the reasons behind some of those changes, along with question and answer sessions.

"I think the benefit of this roadshow team going around to the Airmen is that, one, it gets them the information direct from the experts at Headquarters Air Force and Air Force Personnel Center, and two, it allows them to ask any questions that they have." said Chief Master Sgt. Steve McDonald, Air Combat Command command chief.

One of the most prominent changes to the EES is that evaluations will now focus more on the Airman's job performance.

"As we've gone around, we've noticed that once the Airmen get the facts and look at the changes from our perspective they begin to understand the new form and how it will now benefit the stellar performers," McDonald added.

Staff Sgt. Cassandra Czechowicz, 4th Logistic Readiness Squadron customer support supervisor, said she was able to better understand the new system and received clarification for herself and her Airmen.

"The roadshow was beneficial because it brought the leadership behind these changes to the forefront and showed me how these changes are going to make the Air Force better," Czechowicz said. "They were open to all the questions anyone had and answered them fully, and even brought up questions people hadn't asked so that everyone could get a full understanding of the new forms."

The three roadshow teams have visited nearly every Air Force base both stateside and overseas, including Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, and Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. With more than a week left of touring, locations like Hurlburt Field, Florida, and Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, will soon be covered.
