Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, and Corvias Military Living have announced that unaccompanied Airmen with the pay grades of E-1 to O-3 who receive the Basic Allowance for Housing will be eligible to live in base housing beginning this month.

The expansion of housing eligibility to this group is being made to generate additional demand for select home types that are currently available.

"Living on base is convenient and provides a great value," said Sharon Shores, Program Manager for Corvias Military Living, "and this change will allow our high-quality housing to serve more of our deserving service members."

The home types that will be available to the newly added categories offer two-bathrooms, a covered carport, included lawn care, 24-hour maintenance and included utilities.  In addition, special military-friendly leases are available as well as convenient roommate options. As an added benefit of living on base, no credit checks, security deposits or application fees are required for active-duty service members.

More than 600 military families currently live on base in a blend of one- and two-story homes.  The decision to open eligibility to this additional group was made to ensure the housing partnership has the ability to reinvest in future construction, modernization, upgrades and repairs on the installation throughout the duration of the 50-year partnership.

Single Airmen interested in moving on base are encouraged to request information from Corvias Military Living by phone at (919) 988-6920, by email at seymour.leasing@corvias.com  or online at http://airforce.corviasmilitaryliving.com. They may also contact the Air Force Housing Management Office (HMO) at (919) 722-0362/63/64.

Applicants from the newly eligible categories may qualify for additional move-in special offers, including partial month's free rent and paid moving assistance.
