CFC donations can still be made online until Dec. 15 Published Nov. 10, 2014 By Senior Airman John Nieves Camacho 4th Fighter Wing Public Affairs SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- The 2014 Combined Federal Campaign came to a close here, Oct. 24. Since Sept. 8, Team Seymour has donated more than $132,000. Even though the campaign on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base has ended, donations can still be made until the national deadline on Dec. 15 by visiting https://www.cfcnexus.org/_senccfc/. Capt. Rachael Nussbaum, 4th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal flight commander, said the CFC is a very efficient way for Team Seymour to financially support the causes they care about, since 100 percent of donations go to charity. "People who are donating should keep in mind what matters to them more than anything else; whether that's childhood education, medical research, the environment, supporting the local community, helping disabled veterans, or helping people out of poverty across the globe," said Nussbaum. "Whatever matters most to you, there's a charity in the CFC working on it, and you can help them with your support." The CFC is the world's largest annual workplace charity campaign, with almost 200 CFC campaigns worldwide, raising millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by federal civilian, postal and military donors during the Sept. 1 through Dec. 15 campaign season support eligible nonprofit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.
