Gone but not forgotten: Seymour Johnson kicks off POW/MIA week

The 4th Fighter Wing is holding several recognition events in honor of POW/MIA Week, leading up to a Remembrance Ceremony on Sept. 19, 2014 at Heritage Park on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina.
 
The week began with a lighting ceremony Sept 16, 2014 at Heritage Hall. During the event, members of Team Seymour witnessed the lighting of a ceremonial candle honoring prisoners of war and those who are still missing in action while conducting military operations.

Below are a list of events scheduled to take place throughout the week:

Tuesday, Sep 16

Event: POW/MIA Booth

Event: POW/MIA Lunch Movie "Rescue Dawn" (2006)
When: Sept. 16, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Base Theater

Wednesday, Sep 17

Event: POW/MIA Booth
When: Sept. 17, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Fitness Center and Flightline AMUs

Thursday, Sep 18

Event: POW/MIA Lunch Movie "Lone Survivor" (2011)
When: Sept. 16, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Base Theater

Event: POW/MIA 24 Hour Relay
When: Sept. 17, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 2 Mile Track

Friday, Sep 19

Event Title: POW/MIA Ceremony

Location: In front of the Wing Headquarters Building on Wright Bros. Ave.
