Staying "Fit to Fight" year-round is every Airman's responsibility.

To better assist Airmen meet this duty, the 4th Force Support Squadron fitness staff is offering combat fitness classes.

The combat fitness class is an advanced circuit-styled fitness course, themed around strength and cardio. It focuses on improving endurance, stability and confidence.

"The program is an excellent way to get a great workout with your peers," said Airman 1st Class Joseph Johnson, 4th Operations Support Squadron unit deployment manager. "We keep each other motivated through the exercises and have fun at the same time."

The class mainly performs various cardio, callisthenic and plyometric exercises that often involve free weights, tires and kettlebells.

"We come up with different exercises to challenge people and keep them coming back to the classes," said Nicole Rollins, 4th FSS fitness instructor. "We train different muscle groups daily and are constantly pushing people to the limit."

The combat fitness class is held weekdays from noon til 1 p.m. at the Seymour Johnson Fitness Center. Any Department of Defense cardholder can attend the class.
