Headquarters Air Force recently announced reductions that will impact approximately 3% of base's 600+ civilian positions.

The Air Force wide reductions are being driven by the Air Force's need to reshape its workforce to meet new mission requirements and are part of the budgetary issues facing the Federal government.

"On the positive side, many of our targeted positions are not currently filled," said Col. Anne Winkler, 4th Mission Support Group commander. "For each position that is filled, we have a number of voluntary programs and possible options to work through before any employees will be displaced."

Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
