Master Sgt. Tina Jorae receives Purple Heart Medal
Col. Anne Winkler, 4th Mission Support Group commander, presents Master Sgt. Tina Jorae, 4th Contracting Squadron contract specialist, with a Purple Heart medal at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., Dec. 9, 2011. Jorae received the medal for wounds received when a suicide bomber drove a vehicle borne improvised explosive device into her living quarters while deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan, Aug. 15, 2009. Jorae displayed selfless act of courage during the attack by clearing the building she was residing in and carrying a traumatized and injured Solider to a medical facility after the attack.
