Khalil had to land on the drop zone to complete the simulator training. Students competed with one another to see who could land the closest to the drop zone. Khalil is the son of U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Ebony Copeland, 916th Operations Support Squadron aircrew flight equipment journeyman, and hails from Goldsboro.
