Powerful machinery
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Vincent O’Hara runs exterior cables under an F-15 Strike Eagle engine while performing maintenance repairs on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., Jan. 30, 2012. There are eight exterior cables matted to the engine to prevent cable chafing. The external cables are connected to the digital electric engine control which processes information from the aircrew to the engine. O’Hara is a 4th Component Maintenance Squadron jet engine intermediate mechanic from Waycross, Ga. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Whitney Stanfield/Released)
