NDI digs between the lines
Senior Airman Natasha Abrams prepares to inspect bolts from a KC-135 Stratotanker for cracks and deformities using a Penetrant Inspection System (PIS) at the 4th Equipment Maintenance Squadron non-destructive inspection (NDI) lab on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., Oct. 6, 2011., Airmen use the PIS and x-ray equipment to detect defects and abnormalities on specific parts of the aircraft in which damages cannot be easily detected.
