4th Fighter Group Veterans reunite to reminisce
Former Air Force crew chief Don Groomer, pilots Paul Lucas, Richard Rinebolt, Henry Lee, Jack Swan and Steve Pisanos attend the 4th Fighter Group of World War II reunion in Denver, Sept. 24, 2011. The group toured the former Lowry Air Force Base, Colo., which houses the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum, and attended a memorial banquet for the 4th Fighter Group. The reunion gave the veterans a chance to exchange and relive their experiences during WWII as part of the Royal Eagle Squadrons and to reflect on the changes within the Air Force.
