Don’t let your holidays go up in smoke
SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C.- Firefighters from the 4th Civil Engineer Squadron’s Fire Services Flight demonstrated the potential danger of not watering a live Christmas tree here at the Base Exchange Dec. 3, 2010. Once the mock fire was started, the tree was completely engulfed in flames in 12 seconds. Every year, there are an estimated 200 Christmas tree fires in America. The best way to prevent a catastrophe with a fresh Christmas tree is to keep it watered. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Senior Airman Marissa Tucker)
