EOD Airman receives third Bronze Star Medal

WARDAK PROVINCE, Afghanistan -- Master Sgt. Van Hood stands surrounded by debris from an improvised explosive device in the Wardak province in Afghanistan. Sergeant Hood, 4th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal NCOIC of operations, plans and intel, earned his third Bronze Star Medal for actions during a recent six-month deployment.
