RALEIGH, N.C. - U.S. Senator Elizabeth Dole rides in the Salute the Troops Parade through the streets of downtown Raleigh with Bobby Finch, a member of Rolling Thunder Chapter 4 April 26. More than 50,000 spectators attended to show appreciation to the military members in North Carolina. Every branch of the active-duty military, the National Guard, Air Guard and Coast Guard, from every installation in the state was represented. Rolling Thunder is a private veteran’s association promoting awareness for prisoners of war and soldiers missing in action and more than 50 of their members rode in the parade.
