SJ Airmen get close and personal with flying mission
Lieutenant Col. Frederick Haley III, 333rd Fighter Squadron commander, familiarizes bioenvironmental engineers from the 4th Medical Group with life support equipment during an impromptu tour of his squadron, 26 Aug 2015, at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina. This tour was part of an initiative by Col. Mark Slocum, 4th Fighter Wing commander, to get Airmen out to the fighter squadrons and flightline, who otherwise don’t get the chance. Although the primary mission if the U.S. Air Force is to “Fly, Flight & Win” there are many Airmen that support the flying mission from afar. “It's great to get these Airmen near the flying mission, who normally don't get to see it up close” said Slocum.
