4th MDSS laboratory collects, analyzes, delivers results
Staff Sgt. Jessica Di Stefano (front), and Senior Airman Kiersten Zardee, both 4th Medical Support Squadron medical laboratory technicians, analyze a blood sample Jan. 21, 2016, at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina. The seven Airmen and two civilian specialists at the lab conduct more than 3,000 different types of tests on fluid samples from patients. Technicians diagnose influenza, perform pregnancy tests as well as work jointly with 4th Security Forces Squadron, Air Force Office of Special Investigations and Drug Demand Reduction personnel to aid on-going investigations.
