Airmen from the 4th Operations Support Squadron aircrew flight equipment complete annual inspections of parachutes and replace the Universal Water-activated Release System (UWARS) at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, Sept. 8, 2020. The purpose of the UWARS is to release an incapacitated aircrew member being dragged by their parachute as a result of high surface winds to prevent drowning.
