An Airman from the 4th Fighter Wing and an engineer contracted by the U.S. Air Force carry a component of a modular ejection seat prior to installing it on an F-15E Strike Eagle at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, March 14, 2022. The modular seats are lighter and more mobile than previous ejection seat models. The Advanced Concept Ejection Seat 5 will replace the F-15E's older ACES II, which is used in many other aircraft in the U.S. Air Force’s arsonal.
