SJAFB pays tribute to mothers
“To me, being a mother means finding the strength and determination to push on each and every day to give my children the life I never had. It means finding a whole new version of yourself that you never knew you had,” said Senior Airman Samantha Vazquez, 4th Security Forces Squadron alarm monitor. “It means sleepless nights, tons of memories of beautiful smiles and cuddles, selflessness and endless love. Motherhood has been the best part of my life so far and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.” As a tribute for Mother’s Day, Vazquez was interviewed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, May 3, 2022. Vazquez has been serving in the Air Force for three years and has been a mother for almost two years. Vazquez is also expecting her second child in a few months.
