Team Seymour memorializes fallen wingman
A decorated crosswalk sign honoring the memory of U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Timothy Bowles at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, March 15, 2024. On March 15th, 2009, Sergeant Bowles, who was not scheduled to work, volunteered to take on an ill Airman’s place on patrol. While on patrol near Kot, Afghanistan, Sergeant Bowles’ vehicle encountered an Improvised Explosive Device. As a result of the explosion, Staff Sgt. Bowles suffered fatal wounds.
