Finding Strength Through Laughter
U.S. Airmen assigned to the 4th Fighter Wing laugh during the "1 Degree of Separation" comedy show at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., Sept. 1, 2026. The 4th Fighter Wing hosted the event, billed as a "funny look at depression and suicide," to kickoff Suicide Prevention Month. The interactive program uses stand-up comedy and open dialogue to address mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and encourage service members to seek help.
