A new Air Force accountability system will be tested here between March 16 and 20.

The Air Force Personnel Accountability and Assessment System is a web-based application used to account for and assess the needs of Airmen and their families during and after a man-made or natural disaster.

In the event of a disaster or when directed during a training exercise, Airmen must account for themselves and can easily be accomplished by logging into the system at https://afpaas.af.mil.

After accessing the system, Airmen should review the information in the "My Info" tab to ensure accuracy and input updates. Personnel are encouraged to become familiar with the site before the exercise kicks off.

They can also view the assessment area to see how the Air Force helps individual Airmen during disasters. The assessment capability allows Airmen to identify personal needs for action by Airman & Family Readiness Centers. Specific requests for assistance in areas like shelter, child care or financial assistance will be addressed by the nearest A&FRC for case management.

When Airmen are unable to access the system, they should account for themselves by contacting their unit control center or calling 1-800-435-9941.

Airmen who are deployed or on leave are not required to participate in the March 16 to 20 exercise here.
