Laying wreaths for those laid to rest
Al King, mayor of Goldsboro, and Col. Lamar Pettus, 4th Fighter Wing vice commander, lay a wreath together during a wreath-laying ceremony at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Goldsboro, N.C., Dec. 14, 2013. King and Pettus laid the honorary first wreath in remembrance of the nation’s prisoners of war and those missing in action. The event was part of the Wreaths Across America mission, which delivered more than 540,000 remembrance wreaths to 908 cemeteries across the country in honor of our nation’s veterans.
